How can I realistically lose 20 lbs in 2 months?

Will start the gym today and hopefully by the end of June will look noticeably different. Any ideas, tips, suggestions?
Answer:
In addition to your gym routine, which should be a mix of aerobic activity and weight training:
- Find more ways to squeeze in exercise...take the stairs instead of the elevator...park farther, etc.
- Replace foods that break down too fast with whole foods, whole grains, or complex carbohydrates. The foods to avoid are sugary or starchy foods...most junk or convenience foods fall in this category.
- Make water your primary beverage...you can enjoy a soda or juice once in a while...just don't rely on those for hydration. Instead of the juice, eat the whole fruit instead...the ratio of sugar to dietary fiber is much better.
- 20 lbs in 2 months is somewhat realistic...I'm glad you are not trying to lose it faster because rapid weight loss is very unhealthy and tends to be temporary.
Salads they hardly have any calories in
Try doing Atkins Diet...if you follow it strictly you should have no problem losing that much..maybe even more depending on your weight.
fasting...nah just playing...hire a personal trainer who is willing to comply with your goals
go to google.com and search cleveland clinic dietit supposedly makes you lose 10 lbs. a week it is given to cardiac patients who need to lose 40 lbs in a month
you can do like the south beach diet. Eat chicken, salmon and fish. One a day. Then do snacks, like 2%string cheese, beans, peanuts, sugar free jello. NO sugars, no friuts, just salads. Egg beaters in the morning, with cheese and low fat sausage. Try Teibo for 30mins.. and all that worked for me.
drink lots of water
It is possible to lose 20 lbs in 2 months with the right diet and exercise but you have to take your own weight in to consideration. For a heavier set person it is possible for that person to lose it in under a month but if you are a mid or lighter set person, weight lose might be a little harder.A tip that has been of great use to me is drinking a lot of water. The human body normal saves up as much water as possible for later use but if you tell your body that the water will always be there, your body won't hold in as much water weight.
I am currently on a diet myself, and I have tried many diets in the past also. The only diet that worked for me was the Suzanne Somers diet. It's like Atkins, but the food is better and you are allowed bread once in a while. Personally, I cannot do low carb diets because I feel too deprived and I gorge myself on beef jerky sticks all day that contain too much salt, which end up bloating me a lot. Go to the SlimFast official website and sign up. They have a really great plan with realistic receipes and a "buddy" system where you can talk to other people on the plan. It's working out for me, you should check it out.
cut out all sugar and flour. about ten pounds per month is what you will lose.
We'll it depends how overweight you are. Typically people who are 40-50 pounds overweight will have alot easier time shedding pounds compared to someone who is 5-10 pounds overweight. I think the key is to start the day with a breakfast that will provide you will the energy needed to complete your day and then workout. FRUITS, like bananas can do this with the benefit of low calories. At the gym lift weights BEFORE doing your treadmill work. Numerous studies comfirm weight lifting heightens the effects of cardio if done before. For one cardio session a week do 3-5 40 yard sprints which will rev' up your metabolism for many hours afterwards.
A couple of weeks ago I heard about phentermine from a girl who also tried clenbuterol and had NO results. She tried phentermine 37.5 mg after the clenbuterol disaster. She lost about 25 pounds in 2 months using phentermine 37.5 mg. Her cousin lost about 50 pounds in 3 months using it. Naturally I was interested in phentermine 37.5 mg and began to do some research on it. After my research I decided to give it a try.I ordered my phentermine (37.5 mg) on 4/19/07 from a website called US-Pills.com. I received my order in 6 days, 4/25/07. They do have express shipping if you want to receive your order sooner. I paid $199.00 for 90 pills, which is a 3 month supply. I know that sounds expensive, but I checked NUMEROUS web sites and this site seemed to have the best prices and also seemed to be a legit site. If you can get a prescription from your doctor it would be a lot cheaper. Unfortunately, my doctor refused to provide me a prescription because she said I was not obese and she only will prescribe phentermine to obese patients. I've been taking my phentermine (37.5 mg) since 4/26/07 and I can tell already that it's working!! Here are some of my results so far. I feel like I'm melting. My closes are fitting loser and when I look at myself in the mirror after I get out of the shower I look smaller. My phentermine came with instructions, which instructed me to take 1 pill per day in the morning 30 minutes prior to breakfast. I take my pill as soon as I get up and go to the gym about 30 minutes later. I feel so energized and have the best workouts then I have had in a long time. I am able to work out longer and harder. I eat my breakfast when I get home from the gym. I'm not hungry all day and have no cravings for sweets or bad foods like I normally would before I started using phentermine. Because I no longer have the bad cravings I eat healthy small meals throughout the day. Since I'm not hungry anymore, I'm probably consuming about 800-1000 calories per day. The only side effect I have experienced so far is dry mouth. The dry mouth causes me to drink a ton of water, which is great anyway for weight loss success. I'm now drinking about 80 ounces of water a day. Before phentermine I had to force myself to drink water and only drunk about 20-30 ounces a day.I'm very excited about this product. I believe I finally found something that will help me reach my weight loss goal.I help this was helpful to you. Good luck!!
diet and exercise :)
u hear it all the time - just because thats the only thing that really works- short and long term
congratulations on joining the gym :) - thats the first step
next is planning... if u dont plan out ur meals - ur just going to eat anything infront of u when ur hungry
what u need to do is learn how to eat properly- in terms or portions, meal-time/snacking and food selection
-throw out all junk food ... if they arent in ur house they wont haunt u (chips, chocolate, cookies, high fat ice cream etc etc)
-next stock up on fresh fruits and veggies
- get rid of ur vegetable oil and buy canola and olive oil
use the canola for frying ur eggs and olive oil for ur salads.. u only need a little amount for both
- make sure ur taking in 2 litres of water.. the more the merrier - just dont empty the ocean lol
- cut ur sugar intake... none in coffee none in tea... drink ur beverages black.. cutting cream and sugar makes a huge difference if ur a tea and coffee drinker - if ur a pop and juice person.. CUT THE POP OFF COMPLETETLY and make sure ur juices are 100% pure juice... the only sugar u should consume are those naturally occuring in foods like fruits :)
- no white bread... ur bread whould be 100% whole wheat or whole grain
-slat causes water retention and high blood pressure... salt should be cut down to a minimum
-now for eating the foods... in the morning u must have breakfast within 15 minutes of waking up - eat oatmeal, high fiber cereal with some fruit, or a healthy sandwich and juice
2 hrs later have a snack (low fat yogurt, veggies fruit)
2-3 hrs after ur snack have lunch - have a sandwich, soup and crackers (easy on the salt), juice a salad boiled eggs
2 hrs after lunch have a snack (low fat yogurt, veggies fruit)
2-3 hrs after that have dinner - try not to have many carbs here- load up on protien like chicken, have a salad drink a glass of milk etc etc
u can choose to have a evening snack but make sure its vegetables.
drink water thru out the day and stay positive and determined.
this is just rreeeeally simple.. just so u get the idea.
also...this should be a lifestyle - healthy eating is healthy and long living, wuts gonna make u drop the pounds in the begining is cutting out all ur bad food habits like junk food, pop, less salt, right amount of oils and fats (try almonds), no cream and sugar, learning how to drink more water and eating more veggies
what u should concentrate on is getting all ur carbs early in the day - thru breakfast and lunch ... keep ur dinner for protien and veggies- because ull burn more during the day moving around than the night while resting
avoid eating after 7
and get 7-8 hrs of sleep
and exercise in moderation ... 4 days of cardio a week and 3 days of weight lifting
dont over do it .. let ur body rest
and good luck :)
