How can i lose atleast 10 pounds?

I am 17 yrs. old, 5'1 and i weigh like 125-130 and i know that is almost overweight. I want to try to lose atleast 10 pounds in like a month or 2. I am going to start to jog in the mornings for about 30 minutes, i'll cut down on my food portions, stop drinking soda, and do some crunches and situps. Do you think this would be enough to lose some of my weight?
Answer:
Most research shows that 1-2 pounds per week is the max you should be losing. Given that, 10 pounds in two months is reasonable, but in one month positively dangerous. Stopping soda is a fantastic idea. Running 2-3 miles a day is also awesome. Crunches dont help lose weight, they simply firm up the ab muscles. If your sole focus is weight loss, cardio is the only answer. Go to town!Of course, you are smarter than all those idiots out there downing orange juice or cockroach mucus in order to lose weight. Good for you! No shortcuts, right??!good luck to you.
green tea and a colin cleanse.green tea really works the one from asia...yes that's enough to lose weigh but different people may need to do different things because everbody is not the same...but be careful when dieting. GOOD LUCK!!
i quit drinking soda and lost 10 lbs in no time. just be sure to drink lots of water and juices. whole, unprocessed foods also help. you don't necessarily need to eat less, just healthier.
Add high protein snacks such as dry roasted peanuts, any thing made with or from soy or whey proteins, take a multivitamin, drink 1/2 your weight in water., no soda or caffeine or energy drinks like amp etc they contain loads of sugar. Or, seek out the advice of a Herbalife distributor . Herbalife has alot of high protein snacks available that work!
fitnessmagazine.comthat'll do it.
Crunches and situps will tighten the ab muscles, but will not help you lose fat from your midsection.
You are doing the right things - adding cardio exercise to your daily routine and reducing your caloric intake.
Another thing that will help is avoiding sugar (any kind) as well as other foods that have a high glycemic index (bread, pasta, potatoes, rice, etc.).
Also, some light weightlifting exercises will also help burn fat while toning your muscles.
listen to this, there is about 34,000 calories in 10 lbs, yes thats a lot. So if you either dont eat 500 calories or burn 500 calories a day, or combine the two, which is the best, then you will lose about 1 lb per week, and thats the only way to lose weight because then it stays off. Keep a food and exercise journal, keep track. And if that doesnt work then there might be something else that is causeing you to be overweight. Mentaly. But to lose weight you cant JUST stop eating or just workout a lot, you have to combine cardio, diet, and strenght training. The site is the best, and he can e mail you tips for free, its awesome.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
