How can i lose 30 pounds during summer?

well im 12 years old. and i weigh 125 pnds. i really want to lose weight this summer. more like 30 pounds this summer. so i have like 3 months. and i really want to do it to get skinny by 7th grade. plz help me. i really need to kno what to do and give me ideas on things i can work with. thanks.
Answer:
First, find out what a healthy target weight should be from your doctor...30 lbs sounds like too much and unrealistic.
Second, you don't want to lose weight too fast, or it will introduce other problems. Losing weight fast implies that it will come back just as fast. Some tips:
- Make nonfat/lowfat milk or water your primary beverage. It's okay to enjoy a soda or juice once in a while (maximum one a day)...just don't rely on soda/juice for your main hydration.
- Instead of a sugary soda, try the flavored mineral water.
- Avoid sugary or starchy foods...this food breaks down too fast and contributes to weight gain. Instead, focus on more 'complex' foods like whole grains, whole fruits, and fresh vegetables (don't overcook them). The benefit of whole grains is that fat (from your other foods) will bind with the fibers and will go into the toilet. Avoid convenience (highly processed) foods, avoid junk food.
- Eat the whole fruit instead of the juiced version. A whole fruit has a healthier dietary fiber to sugar ratio.
- Eat your heavier meals at the beginning of the day, and don't eat too close to bedtime (allow at least 2 hours of no eating prior to sleeping.) Don't eat dinner and fall asleep...do something active one hour after dinner.
- Exercise - find an activity that you really like and make it part of your daily routine. It should be a mixture of aerobic activity and strength building (but don't do weight lifting at your age.)
- Drink plenty of water to help your body metabolize.
I think that (depending on how tal lyou are)that you really don't need to lose weight.
Drink lots of water and eat less junk more fruits and vegetables.
prepare wraps.
Wheat torillas, turkey, parmesian cheese, and lettuce. This is good and will keep your body filled with fiber. Good luck. Sweety.
your pretty young all you need is will power.stay active, run, jump rope, stay away from a lot of sweets. good luck. you can do it.
look girl I'm 13 and I'm in 7th grade, take it from someone who knows, u r not overweight. but if u insist on losing weight i suggest exercising and trying to eat healthier. Alot of kids dont be doin the pe exercises so i think u should really start taking those seriously too good luck.
u are 12!! why are u worrying about weight! worry about getting into some sort of school activity or a dance club... weight shouldnt be an issue at 12. RELAX little one!
If you have a treadmill or excercise bike, do that as much as possible during your free time. You could even start now!Any cardiovascular excercise will help the most. Running or riding a bike is the best. Also try to cut down on junk food! Seems like simple tips, but honestly those are the best two things you can do. Drink tons of water, cardio excercise, and cut the junk food out as much as possible. You aren't overweight though so I dunno why you want to lose so much weight!
Depending on your height, going to 95 pounds sounds unhealthy. Have you checked your BMI, for your height are you considered overweight? If all signs point to you being overweight, I suggest cutting your daily intake of calories. Replace sugary snacks with fresh fruit. Also, get out everyday and do some sort of exercise for at least 30 minutes. A 10 pound loss every month isn't an achievable goal for someone who is your age and still growing. The most you should lose and remain healthy is 1-2 pounds per week max. T
Losing weight is a simple equation: if you burn more calories than you eat, the weight will come off. Start off by estimating how many calories you burn each day using the calorie calculator http://straighthealth.com/pages/tools/ca... This will give you an idea of how many calories to eat. Healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week. To lose 1 pound per week you need to create a calorie deficit (burn more than you eat) of 500 calories per day. To lose 2 pounds a week, you have to double the deficit to 1000 calories per day. You can achieve this by eating less, exercising more or a combination of both.Guide to Dieting - http://straighthealth.com/pages/guides/d...

I'd say that 30 pounds, at your age, AND in 3 MONTHS is kinda crazy. I'd say 20-23 pounds in 3 months sounds more reasonable, since the safest amount to burn a week is around 1-2, and at 20 pounds, that's be about, say. 1 1/2 cals a week. %26gt;%26gt;%26gt;But if you want to lose weight, don't go around lifting alot of weights and getting buff, cause muscle weighs more than fat. %26gt;%26gt;%26gt;focus on more cardio. running, biking, jogging, walking, jumping rope, playing casual sports like soccer, vollyball, etc, and swimming. swimming tones your whole body and burns calories quite well. there are so many different options to chose! %26gt;%26gt;%26gt;just remember that with cardio, it's good to push yourself. don't go so hard that you throw up or pass out, but my instructor told my class that with what we were running and doing and all that, it may not FEEL like it, but our bodies can handle 3 times as much as that! and it felt like we were going to keel over and have a bunch of heart attacks. :) good luck! hope this helped.
well there are 3500 kcal calories in one pound, so to burn off a pound you need to burn 3500 kcal (calories). So if your goal is 105000 calories in 3 month, you would need to burn 1166 calories a day for 90 days. I do not know if that is a realistic goal. I would set your goal for 500-700 calories a day. Then you could burn it off and keep it off over a long period of time. If you weight train for 45 minutes you should burn about 400 calories. If you do cardio for 45 minutes you should burn about 200 calories. Then just reduce your intake of food by a couple hundred calories and that should do the trick. A can of soda is about 100 calories, or same with some of the starbucks coffees. Replace that high calorie liquid calories with water, or propel or something low in calories that tastes good and that will be an additional 100-300 calories each day, especially if you drink 3 sodas a day right now. Or eat some fruit instead of a bag of chips or cookies when you need sweets. That will be a significant change in calorie intake. So if you do weights 3 times a week that is 1200 calories a week, plus a reduction of 500 calories per day in your food, that would be 3500 calories per week or 4700 calorie reductiono each week, you will slowly burn off a pound to two pounds each week, especially if you do some extra cardio with that. You will get leaner consistently and be able to maintain it.Good luckif you go to http://www.awesomearchangel.co... you can get more tips and some good exercise resources on my website. I used to work for 24 hour fitness, and I am a black belt in karate.God Bless ya, and I believe you can get into beach body shape in a 2-3 months if you work at it. The fastest way to get good weight training results is to hire a trainer. They are costly but once you learn how to do it properly you can do it on your own after a few months of education from your trainer. Also make sure to take a multivitamin everyday. And eat lots of protein after working out to feed all the muscles you have broken down with weight training or cardio. Otherwise you will lose muscle mass. If you have more muscle your body will burn more fat on a daily basis.Since you are very young, I would say just be active, take up a sport, or fitness activity like biking or martial arts, or any team sport, and just start burning lots of calories each day. Those daily workouts with team sports will keep you fit and teach you new physical skills. And some sports like karate can be done all year long. As your body continues to grow you will continue to build muscle and fill out your frame. Especially as you grow taller. You should also talk to a nutritionist or a personal trainer about designing an eating plan that is full of foods you like, but also in the proper calorie range for you to lose and maintain your weight loss. Make sure you eat a balanced plan of carbs, protein and some fats. Try to eat wheat items and fruits and veggies to get your carbs. Stay away from white bread and white pasta. Take wheat and wheat enriched bread and pasta. And eat lots of grilled meat, dont eat fried meat, it is full of unhealthy fats that are hard to burn off.I would read a men's fitness magazine. I used to read men's fitness, or you can try men's health. There are many good magazines for men, that are not necessarily bodybuilder mags, just mags to get lean and strong, not huge. Most of us do not want to be huge, we just want to be lean and strong. I am glad you are trying to get fit at a young age, if you are determined and faithful to a nutrition and exercise program you can do a lot of change in your body in a few months. Give yourself 3 month cycles. Measure your chest, arms, waist, and legs every month to see your body change. You will also see yourself getting stronger and faster, and lifting more weight as you continue your program. And sooner than you know it you will be buying new pants, cause the old ones are falling off your waist. Trust me it is really fun to go shopping when you are buying clothes that are two sizes smaller for your waistline. It is a great feeling, it happened to me. I was wearing a size 34 waist, I am now down to a 30 waist, and sometimes I can squeeze into a 28 or 29. It took a long time and persistence, but it can be done.Good luck.
Take care
summer is a great time to lose wieght!just get active!play tennis, go rollerblading, go for bike rides, go to the beach, go for a jog, walk rather than get a drive, and just make sure you enjoy whatever you're doingalso summer has great food!eat tons of fruit! strawberries, raspberries, apples, oranges, bananas, blue berries, black berries, boison berries, kiwi, water melon... and on the really hot days, make a cool smoothie out of some of your favorite fruits, if you want to sweeten it, use honey rather than sugar and use ice instead of ice cream...
