How can i lose weight at 50?

It seems harder to lose weight when getting older. I was 165lbs. 3 weeks ago and then i started to walk 2 miles 6 days a week. Eating a lot less. But it seems so hard.I am 5'4 i weigh 159. What should i really weigh for my age?
Answer:
Age is irrelevant. A healthy weight goes according to your hieght and body structure. At 5'4, you shoud weight somewhere around 125-140lbs, depending on muscle structure and body structure. Remember that regardless of age, as long as you burn more calories that you consume, you 'll lose weight. It's just slower as you get older. It takes 3500 calories in 1 week to burn 1 lb. Sounds like you are doing good. You've already lost 6 lbs! Picture 6 pounds of butter, and that's what you've shed. You're only 20 lbs or so away from your goal. Losing more than 1-2 lbs a week isn't healthy, so I'd say you are right on track.
You lost 6 pounds in 3 weeks...you are right on track!Do some weight training do make your body dense. That will increase your metabolism and make you lose weight faster.I don't know what your ideal weight should be.
you're doing great!
The best way is to have a balance of good nutrition, exercise and a good night's sleep. It's probably best to have 5 smallish meals a day. Breakfast, mid morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner. You would also be beneficial to keep your body hydrated by drinking plenty of water. This way your body will stay fuelled throughout the day and not go into starvation mode. Try to increase the amount of protein you eat throughout the day and try not to eat too much carbohydrates. Good luck
