How can i lose a lot of weight?

i am 13 years old and height is 5'4" and weight is 73 kg's.i need to lose weight fast to be on the athletic team.plz help me!

You are young, so you need to be careful what you do so that you do not create bad problems later in your life, and talking to your doctor about what you want to accomplish would be very smart..With that being said...1.) Watch your sugar and carb intake (Stop eating the doughnuts, candy, soft drinks, pasta, breads, cereals) 2.) Drink lots and lots and lots of water EVERY day.. 5-8 big glasses EVERY SINGLE DAY3.) Increase your protein intake (Eat lots of tuna, chicken, fish, pork)4.) Cardio exercise ( You are young, so go jogging early in the morning before school for 15-30 minutes, and in the evening for 15-30 minutes, working your way up to about 45 minutes) Studies have proven that exercising 15 minutes twice per day is much mroe effective than the old 30 minutes 3-4 times per week...5.) Do not eat late at night.. Don't eat after 6-7pm unless it is very very clean, like tuna or a chicken breast..6.) This is hard work and it is not easy.. Once you start you must stick with it... there will be times you do not "feel" like it, but keeping on keeping on is just a part of a healthy lifestyle..

Diets doesn't work for anyone. It is what you eat and how you control portions. I would recommend that you start a exercise regimen and stick to your plan.
Drink lots of water to keep you hydrated .It will keep you full longer
For your meals,portion control what you take in. Eat a lot of fruits,vegetables,lean proteins,whole grains and stay away from high sodium,high fat foods

sit down and discuss this with your mom.then go see your family doctor.these fly by nights diet plans will do nothing but bring harm to your body that you suppose to be taking care of....73kg's..dont know what that is in pounds, but i do know what 13 and 14 year old kids look like in a coffin while trying to lose FAST weight... while dieting have caution..stay well...see your doctor
If ur weight is due to overeating then be in diet and have proper food like take more of vegetables and cut down on rice and make a habit of walking daily for half an hour . If u r non-veg then cut down on it. If ur weight is due to hormonal problem consult with the doctor. All the best!

You need to work out an excercise regimen and a proper diet. Strictly adhere to what you have set out, at the end of everyday ask youself if you had snacked or done something that doesn't help you. if you are not disciplined enough try getting family/peer support.
