How can I lose belly fat ?

I recently had a baby, and I need to lose my gut ... Quickly !! What can I do? I have been running but nothing... Should I eat more protein ? Please help!
Answer:
Eat sensibly. Balance protein with carbs and make sure you get as much exercise as possible. Five small meals a day with a workout of 20-30 minutes will help you to lose that weight in no time. The number of carbohydrates you can consume on a daily basis depends on how many calories you intake in a day. For a person that is just doing a regular amount of activity (intaking between 1,600 calories and 2,200), carbohydrate intake is more (around 65%) whereas fat intake is lower (20%) but if the person has a higher calorie intake such as 3,000-4,000 that does long-distance running, etc...the person will need less carbohydrates (55%) and more fats (30%. There isn't a raw number of carbohydrates to intake because the amount of exercise a person does depends essentially how much aerobic activity is done. For athletes, the most important carbohydrate is the complex ones (glycogen) such as oats, fruits, vegetables..anything fiber mainly, potatoes, pasta, bread, cereal. But you have to watch out, carbohydrates are easily over-consumed. 45% of your daily intake should be carbs. On a 1600 calorie a day diet 720 calories should come from carbs. Or about 180 grams. The important thing is what KIND of carbs. YOU NEED CARBS, they give you energy and many other health benefits. but don't cut the amount down too low, because then you risk some serious side effects.. I suggest asking your doctor what a healthy amount is because everyone's body has different nutritional needs.
Hey, it took you 9 months to get it, don't worry about losing it overnight! Stay off the junk foods and eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Keep jogging and do sit ups every a.m.
Stop eating junk food.
Start exercising.
Everyone knows this. Everyone is too lazy to do it.
Cut back on the bad carbs (white bread, sugar) and get plenty of cardio exercise.
Keep up the running, it's great exercise. You can vary cardio to keep the body guessing and to keep you from getting bored. Work up to 30-40min 5 days a week. Also you may try some pilates or yoga once or twice a week. Some toning exercises like these will compliment the cardio that you are doing . Also remember that it will take more time than you think to lose healthy. Eat lots of fiber, fruits and veggies, and lean protein such as skinless chicken breast and grilled salmon. A good way to eat is also 6 small meals a day as opposed to 3 large ones, that way you never feel starving and you are less likely to overeat. Hope this helps!! :)
